Known as 'rock with wings' by the Navajo people, it soars to 1583 feet above the plain... Navajo legend states the Bird Monsters lived on top of the peak and fed upon human flesh until an elder named Monster Slayer climped the peak and killed two adult monsters and changed their young into an Eagle and an Owl A limited edition print of a medium format photograph taken on my coast to coast road trip.
